Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or a similar finance role
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and its application to financial reporting and accounting
- Professional certification such as CMA, CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Proficiency in accounting software, preferably NetSuite, and advanced Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Adaptable and able to manage changing priorities in a growing business environment
- Exposure to other international or local GAAP frameworks is an advantage
Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end close by working with finance and business teams to ensure financial data is recorded accurately and on time
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
- Perform variance analysis and present key financial trends and performance indicators to senior management
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans
- Coordinate with external accounting partners to align financial records with applicable accounting standards for audit and tax requirements
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory obligations
- Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process
- Compile financial information and work with advisors on tax and regulatory matters
- Support monthly payroll and VAT compliance requirements for assigned business operations
- Assist with integrating newly acquired businesses into group accounting policies and processes
- Help improve finance systems, reporting processes, and data accuracy
- Support automation and process improvement initiatives across financial reporting and analysis
