As a Mall Senior Operations Associate, you will support the day-to-day operational excellence of the mall and assist in implementing strategic, safety, and facility management initiatives aligned with AyalaLand's standards.
Job Scope
Strategic Management and Direction
- Assist the Operations Manager or General Manager in communicating and aligning the strategic direction and objectives of the Operations Department within the assigned mall.
- Support the execution of operational strategies and initiatives aligned with corporate and mall-level goals.
Operational Management
- Assist in the day-to-day management and administration of mall operations within the assigned building, including:
- Mall Operations
- Safety, Security, and Sustainability
- Facility Management
- Conduct daily mall inspections (opening, mid-shift, and closing) to ensure compliance with established mall operating systems, standards, and procedures.
- Support the implementation of cost-saving initiatives and sustainability projects to help reduce Direct Operating Expenses (DOEs).
- Assist in maintaining high-quality property standards through regular inspections and preventive maintenance, including cleanliness, air-conditioning levels, lighting, assets, equipment, and security controls for:
- Mall premises
- Parking areas
- Service areas
- Toilets and common areas
- Assist in the effective handling of conflicts or disputes involving merchants, customers, and mall visitors, in coordination with the Security team, ensuring minimal disruption to mall operations.
- Identify, document, and escalate Health and Safety risks that may impact employees, merchants, contractors, mall patrons, and the general public.
Reporting and Analysis
- Assist in the documentation and analysis of operational data and statistical reports to identify root causes of operational issues and recommend improvements to policies and processes.
- Prepare and submit regular reports, including:
- Summary of Daily Operations Inspection and Monitoring
- Summary of Cost-Saving Initiatives and Projects
- KRA setting and performance monitoring for Operations Staff
- Perform other management-mandated functions as required.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or any business or technical-related course.
Experience:
- Minimum of 6months to 1year related work experience in Operations Management, preferably in mall, retail or property management industries.
Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) and exposure to enterprise systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Above-average oral and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, facilitation, and training.
- Working knowledge of project management, planning, people management, and leadership.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of the interconnection between financial performance and business operations.
