To successfully push forward in this challenging business, we are looking for a
competent Maintenance Supervisor to strengthen our Maintenance Department.
Job Description
1. Maintenance Operations Management
Supervise daily maintenance activities to ensure efficient and safe
operation of machinery, tools, equipment, utilities, and facilities.
Schedule, assign, and monitor maintenance work orders based on
priorities, deadlines, and production needs.
Ensure urgent repairs are addressed promptly to minimize production
delays.
Coordinate and supervise facility and equipment maintenance across all
three plants.
2. Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
Plan, implement, and monitor annual preventive maintenance (PM)
schedules to minimize unplanned downtime.
Troubleshoot and oversee repairs for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic,
hydraulic, and infrastructure issues.
Ensure requested corrective maintenance activities are properly
prioritized, executed, documented, and root causes addressed with
preventive actions.
3. Resource and Inventory Management
Coordinate procurement and availability of spare parts, tools, and
consumables to prevent production interruptions.
Monitor and control maintenance budget, materials usage, and inventory
levels.
Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment, ensuring proper storage and
readiness.
4. Technical Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate maintenance records, including PM checklists,
breakdown reports, downtime analysis, and equipment history.
Develop and update technical documentation such as SOPs, safety
checklists, machine manuals, and reference materials.
Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly maintenance
performance reports.
5. Safety, Environmental, and Regulatory Compliance
Ensure maintenance activities comply with MEPZ II regulations, DOLE
safety standards, DENR environmental requirements, and company
policies.
Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk
assessments in maintenance and plant areas.
Implement and monitor safety protocols during servicing.
Support the Pollution Control Officer and Safety Officer in environmental
and occupational health compliance.
6. Team Leadership and Development
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate maintenance staff, ensuring adequate
training and skill development.
Train production staff on proper equipment usage and basic maintenance
best practices.
Promote teamwork, discipline, and a culture of continuous improvement
within the maintenance team.
7. Continuous Improvement and Project Support
Lead assigned improvement projects for plant modifications, construction,
and upgrades, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence.
Recommend and implement process improvements to extend equipment
life, reduce downtime, and improve efficiency.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams for new
equipment installation and commissioning.
8. Collaboration and Communication
Lead the maintenance team in responding to emergency breakdowns
and facility-related incidents.
Ensure rapid diagnosis, repair, and safe restart of affected systems.
Participate as necessary in management meetings to provide updates on
maintenance performance, issues, and improvement plans.
Qualifications and Experience
Licensed Engineer Mechanical or Electrical
Experience in a Maintenance Supervisory role
Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and supervise maintenance personnel to
ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.
Strong understanding of local and national regulatory requirements relating to
maintenance, safety, environmental compliance, and statutory inspections.
Experience maintaining and improving production equipment including
carpentry machinery, polishing and finishing equipment, paint booths, HVAC
systems, and extraction systems.
The ideal candidate will not only lead maintenance operations but actively
identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce downtime, and implement
structured efficiency improvements across the department.
Working knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is required.
