About the Role
MCW Restaurant Group is looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee the repair, upkeep, and preventive maintenance of our restaurants, commissary, and support facilities.
This role is responsible for ensuring that all stores remain safe, operational, well-maintained, and compliant with company standards. The Maintenance Manager will lead maintenance planning, coordinate repairs, manage technicians and contractors, and respond quickly to urgent store concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing the daily maintenance needs of restaurant branches, commissary, and office facilities
- Planning and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen equipment, exhaust systems, and general building repairs
- Responding to urgent repair requests and minimizing store downtime
- Supervising in-house maintenance staff, technicians, and third-party contractors
- Inspecting branches regularly to identify repair needs and safety concerns
- Coordinating with Operations, Store Managers, Purchasing, and Finance for repair requests, approvals, materials, and service providers
- Monitoring maintenance costs and ensuring repairs are done within approved budgets
- Ensuring all work complies with safety, sanitation, and government requirements
- Maintaining proper records of repairs, preventive maintenance, service reports, warranties, and equipment history
- Recommending improvements to reduce recurring repairs and extend equipment lifespan
- Monitor vehicle downtime, repair costs, fuel-related concerns, tire condition, battery condition, and recurring mechanical issues
Qualifications
- Graduate of Engineering, Facilities Management, or any related course
- At least 5 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or engineering management
- Experience in restaurants, food service, commissary, retail, hotel, or multi-branch operations is preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen equipment, refrigeration, and general building maintenance
- Able to manage technicians, contractors, suppliers, and service providers
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond quickly to urgent concerns
- Organized, cost-conscious, and able to maintain proper documentation
- Willing to do branch visits and fieldwork
- Good communication and coordination skills
