Job Description

The Maintenance Manager directs, controls, integrates, and manages the various functions and activities of the maintenance department for the effective operation and maintenance of plant facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the entire maintenance department and translates plant-wide strategies into clear, actionable programs across all technical maintenance units.
  • Sets key performance indicators (KPIs) to maximize equipment availability and reliability while delivering on internal service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Drives best-in-class maintenance standard operating procedures (SOPs), data-integrity systems, and an efficient work-order scheduling process.
  • Coordinates critical maintenance initiatives with Quality Assurance, Process, and Production teams to minimize unexpected downtime.
  • Monitors the department budget against actual spend and designs action plans to correct financial deviations to support profitability targets.
  • Manages long-term replacement capital expenditures (CAPEX), spare parts inventory, and cost-reduction efforts to maximize asset lifespan.
  • Ensures proper staffing levels and delivers structured training programs to enhance technical knowledge across all maintenance personnel.
  • Conducts regular performance evaluations and implements engaging team initiatives to boost employee morale, execution, and discipline.
  • Aligns maintenance programs with the Plant Master Plan, driving system re-designs and continuous improvements to enhance overall facility efficiency.
  • Cultivates an environment of change by encouraging team feedback and rewarding high performance through employee recognition initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Must hold a valid Professional Engineering License or relevant professional certification.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy manufacturing, industrial production, or related process industries, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Must be adept in industrial equipment maintenance, servicing, preventive maintenance reviews (PMRs), and long-term asset planning.
