Functional Focus: Plant Facilities Maintenance (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation, Preventive Maintenance)
Position Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber Maintenance Manager to direct all plant facility maintenance operations. Reporting directly to Senior Plant Leadership, the Maintenance Manager will provide strategic and operational direction across all technical maintenance disciplines—including Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation/Automation, Preventive Maintenance, and Major Shutdowns/Overhauls.
The primary objective is to maximize plant reliability, drive equipment availability, manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets to achieve EBITDA targets, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Operational Strategy
- Provide overall leadership to the maintenance organization, ensuring alignment between departmental activities and broader corporate objectives
- Translate top-level plant goals into detailed operational plans across all technical sections (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation/Automation, and Predictive/Preventive Maintenance).
- Utilize systematic plant data analysis and key metrics to identify gaps, optimize processes, and achieve target KPIs for equipment availability and reliability.
- Establish, enforce, and maintain departmental guidelines aligned with global operational frameworks and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
2. Maintenance Execution & Systems Integrity
- Enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical specifications, and safety guidelines for all routine and major maintenance tasks.
- Oversee an efficient Work Order system and lead major plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and critical-path overhaul projects.
- Ensure data integrity across automation, signal control, and management systems.
- Drive seamless operational cross-coordination with Raw Material Handling, Quality Assurance, Process Engineering, and Production teams.
3. Financial Management & EBITDA Optimization
- Direct and manage the department's operating budget (OPEX) and capital expenditures (CAPEX) to directly support plant EBITDA goals.
- Monitor budget vs. actual costs continuously and implement swift, corrective action plans for any variances.
- Lead strategic spare parts planning, inventory optimization, vendor negotiations, and equipment replacement justifications.
- Optimize operational costs, manage third-party contractor risks, and support sustainability/alternative fuel utilization initiatives.
4. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, equipment redesign, and process optimization to elevate overall plant efficiency.
- Implement structured cost-reduction programs without compromising equipment reliability or safety standards.
- Promote employee-driven innovation and recognize exceptional performance through structured recognition frameworks.
5. Talent Management & Development
- Manage overall department manpower, resource allocation, and organizational structuring.
- Conduct regular performance management cycles, identify skills gaps, and implement targeted training programs for maintenance personnel.
- Foster high team morale, strong workplace discipline, and an engaging working environment.
6. EHS & Governance Compliance
- Enforce strict compliance with Health & Safety Rules, Environmental Regulations, and corporate governance directives.
- Ensure departmental adherence to IT standards and all overarching organizational policies.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering
- Licensure: Professional Licensed Engineer credential required.
Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Heavy Manufacturing, Continuous Process Operations, or Large-Scale Industrial Production Facilities
- 5+ years in a managerial or leadership capacity overseeing multi-disciplinary technical maintenance teams
Technical Expertise:
- Strong functional knowledge of industrial plant facilities, heavy machinery servicing, and process engineering.
- Practical understanding of industrial automation systems, process control, and performance management software.
- Proven track record in executing preventive/predictive maintenance, major shutdown planning, and continuous improvement programs.
- Strong financial management skill set (OPEX/CAPEX budgeting, cost-benefit analysis, inventory management).
