Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production machinery, with a primary focus on production equipment while supporting mechanically related facilities and utilities. The role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and maintains compliance with environmental, quality, and safety standards.
The Maintenance Lead also supervises maintenance personnel, manages in-house fabrication activities, coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and drives process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and equipment performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Must be a Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME).
- Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, production equipment supervision, and machining/fabrication activities, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of production machinery, mechanical systems, in-house machining, and fabrication.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance, TPM programs, and maintenance improvement methodologies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to supervise, motivate, and develop maintenance personnel.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills to effectively work with all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes, recommend solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiative
