Maintenance Engineer
About the Job
Ensures the efficient, effective, and safe operations of plant equipment and facilities, that are compliant to internal quality standards and applicable certifications and government regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversees, evaluates, and improves Preventive Maintenance programs.
- Oversees facilitation of work order requests.
- Responds promptly to emergency maintenance situations (ex. equipment breakdowns, power outages, etc.) to minimize operations downtime and protect employees, equipment, and facilities.
- Ensures that all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and protocols to protect employees, equipment, and facilities.
- Ensures maintenance area, tools, and equipment are clean, orderly, and maintained in good working condition (ex. calibrated, safe for use).
- Ensures on time, complete, and accurate submission of routine or ad hoc maintenance reports or forms.
- Maintains inventory of maintenance equipment, tools, and supplies.
- Identifies and raises concerns, issues and risks and proactively recommends solutions to mitigate these.
- Analyzes historical breakdowns, recurring issues and deviations to standards, and identifies opportunities for improving equipment performance, efficiency, and reliability through upgrades, modifications, or process enhancements.
- Proactively recommends improvements for the department's processes, equipment, and facilities.
- Trains and coaches employees regarding basic equipment care, troubleshooting, safe and proper operation, and standard procedures.
- Trains and coaches junior staff as necessary for preventive or corrective maintenance activities.
- May assist in overseeing the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of junior staff.
- Performs other maintenance related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Licensed Mechanical Engineer.
- Experience in the following will be an advantage: Food Manufacturing Facility and Equipment Maintenance; Quality Management Systems (ex. GMP, HACCP).
- Government licenses and certifications (ex. PCO, BOSH, OSH Practitioner, etc.) is an advantage.
- Has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills, open to learning.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite.
- Can work with minimal supervision and is a team player.
- Willing to work in Bagumbayan (Bicutan) – Taguig City.
