Role Summary
The Maintenance Engineer oversees the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of all resort facilities and utility systems. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and structural issues; implementing preventive and corrective maintenance programs; ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards; supervising maintenance personnel; coordinating contractors; and leading facility improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency, system reliability, and overall guest satisfaction.
Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on maintenance activities, system performance, and identified issues, including recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct regular inspection, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of civil and architectural structures to maintain safety, functionality, and overall quality of the facility.
- Perform and supervise prompt repair of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and water supply systems to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of pool pumps, cistern pumps, and related equipment to ensure stable water pressure and uninterrupted supply across the resort, including guest rooms.
- Inspect, maintain, and ensure efficient operation of key systems such as air conditioning units, generator sets, sewage treatment plants, plumbing systems, lighting systems, sound systems, and water distribution systems.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors during renovation and maintenance projects: evaluate work progress, verify accomplishment reports, and recommend approval of progress billings.
- Plan and manage procurement of maintenance tools, spare parts, and materials to ensure availability for timely repairs and preventive maintenance programs.
- Lead and supervise maintenance staff, assign daily tasks, and ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of maintenance activities, equipment history, inspections, and all internal and external transactions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies in all maintenance operations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering).
- Professional Certification: Licensed Electrical or Mechanical Engineer (passed the Engineering Licensure Examination).
- Specialized Knowledge: Project construction and management; strong understanding of building systems and facility operations.
- Abilities: Capable of preparing cost estimates, project schedules, and maintenance plans; able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Experience: Knowledge of building systems, budgeting, preventive maintenance planning, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems.

Working conditions
- The position will be primarily based at CASOBE (Calatagan South Beach), Calatagan, Batangas.
- The employee may be required to report to the Landco Head Office as needed and must be willing to travel to other resort properties when necessary
