Mainframe Test Lead

Non-Negotiable:

- MF dev/support/testing experience

- JCL, DB2/SQL, CICS testing experience

- Familiarity with basic testing concepts: test case creation, test execution, defect management

- Ability to write basic sql queries

- 5 years testing experience (at least 3 years test mgt experience)

- 5+ years of testing experience

- Experience in leading and managing all quality deliverables for project(s)

- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and processes

- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and software development methodologies

- Expert in design of test cases and test data based on requirements

- Expert in using test tools for quality management (preferably Jira)

- Experience in test scoping and planning

- Ability to monitor and facilitate testing progress

- Ability to create and implement test strategies on multiple test activities

- Ability to facilitate discovery of potential problems and address gaps in inspections and reviews

- Ability to coach and train lower level Test Analysts

- Ability to lead a small to moderate number of testers

- Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail

- Passion for testing excellence through automation and process improvements

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization

- Consider testability when reviewing the designs which result in more testable features and better test coverage.

- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of business domain.

- Apply knowledge of software development process for early discovery of defects and higher quality builds.

- Analyze patterns of defects to identify test holes for a feature area.

- Facilitate discovery of potential issues through thorough and systemic testing.

- Test Coordination

Develop a test plan that leads to effective testing with optimal test coverage.

Develop a test plan that reflects a deep understanding of the business domain and/or project/component.
