Mainframe Senior Developer (Hybrid)

Mandatory Skills:

COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS (non-negotiable) - The client expects candidates to have strong proficiency in CICS as well as the other listed technologies.

Responsibities:

• Develop, maintain and enhance mainframe applications and systems using COBOL, Assembler, JCL, CICS DB2, and other propramming languages and tools

• Design and implement solutions that meet business requirements and technical specifications

• Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers

• Collaborate with other teams, including business analysts, quality assurance, and project management, to ensure successful project delivery

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities

• Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs in a timely manner

•Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in mainframe development

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's decree in Computer Science. Information Technology, or a rebted field

• 3-7 vears of experience in mainframe development

• strong knowiedre of COBOL, Assembler, JCL CICS, DB2, and other mainframe programming languages and tools

• Experience working with mainframe systems such as z/05, IMS, and VSAM

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus

• Experience in banking industry is preferred
