Mainframe Developer

Role : Mainframe Developer

Location : Philippines

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications.
• Develop and modify COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM programs.
• Perform unit testing, system testing, and support UAT activities.
• Debug and resolve production issues, abends, and performance bottlenecks.
• Execute batch job scheduling and monitoring activities.
• Conduct impact analysis and prepare technical documentation.
• Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and other development teams.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
• Support application deployment and post-production stabilization activities

Experience & Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of experience in Mainframe Application Development.
• Strong experience in application design, coding, testing, and maintenance.
• Experience with production support and incident management.
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile development methodologies.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and provide long-term fixes.
• Experience working with large enterprise or banking applications preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
