Magento Technical Architect

Responsibilities:

• Perform technical design for and lead implementation of our client projects
• In conjunction with a Client Partner and Project Manager, own the overall delivery of client projects
• Contribute to the proposal writing and SOW creation process
• Work with the staffing team to ensure projects are staffed with the correct number of resources and proper level of expertise
• Responsible for technical design and deliverables for client projects
• Interact with client IT teams to coordinate delivery and deployment of Optaros solutions
• Present technical solutions to both business and IT teams
• Provide technical leadership for project teams
• Leads development of mentorship and training programs for company technical staff
• Sets company-wide technical standards and actively participates in technical practice domains
• Participate in the sales process as an SME or SE when needed
• Strong knowledge and expertise regarding Magento (Adobe Commerce) Platform

Required Technical Skills and Experience

• 12+ years experience as a technical developer or related work experience; 6+ years in technical leadership roles, leading projects or development teams, application architecture, enterprise architecture, systems integration and development; experience in a project-based consulting environment
• Deep knowledge of critical (common) commerce ecosystem components and how to integrate these components
• Broad technical skills with deep expertise in more than one area (scalability/load balancing, security, performance)
• Deep understanding of system administration, software and hardware/cloud configuration, release management strategies
• Deep knowledge designing solutions on Magento (Adobe Commerce)
• Solid understanding of databases and experience with database tuning
• Experience with ecommerce packages and delivering ecommerce projects strongly preferred
• Extensive experience with source code management strategies and release management
• Experience shaping projects including authoring/reviewing proposals and SOWs
• Managing technical resources (<10) through all phases of project delivery
• Interest in collaborating across the company to share knowledge
