Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate DP grinding machines according to process specifications.
- Set up grinding tools, fixtures, and grinding slurry for production.
- Monitor grinding parameters to achieve the required surface quality and flatness.
- Perform basic inspection and measurement of parts during the process.
- Record production data and report any abnormalities or defects.
- Follow standard operating procedures, safety, and cleanliness requirements.
Education & Experience
- Technical/Vocational graduate or Associate Degree holder.
- Experience as a Machinist, Machine Operator, or in a manufacturing, semiconductor, or optics environment is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of machine operation and optical part handling.
- Knowledge of using precision measuring instruments such as Digimatic, Micrometer, and Vernier Caliper is preferred.
Skills
- Ability to operate DP grinding machines and follow process instructions.
- Good attention to detail and ability to detect surface defects.
- Basic knowledge of inspection tools and measurement equipment.
- Ability to work independently and within a production team.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a controlled production environment.
- Requires standing for long periods and handling precision optical parts.
- Must follow safety, and contamination control procedures.
- 6-day work week, with possible Sunday overtime when shipment requirements are critical.
