What youll do:

As a Machine Learning Engineer in this forward-thinking team based in Makati, you will play a pivotal role in designing, evaluating, and deploying advanced AI models that directly influence consumer decision-making at scale. • Audit and improve training data pipelines by identifying problematic samples, correcting category mislabelling, refining train/test stratification, and detecting data leakage to ensure high-quality datasets.
• Contribute to the creation of robust and reproducible data workflows that support scalable machine learning operations across multiple regions and product categories.
• Build and execute reproducible model evaluation workflows that go beyond aggregate metrics, developing qualitative assessment frameworks to capture real-world prediction quality.
• Design and run targeted machine learning experiments by testing new data splits, augmentation strategies, encoders, or hyperparameter configurations while adapting modern computer vision and multimodal techniques as needed.
• Integrate validated experimental results into production training pipelines, ensuring research pipelines such as saliency maps and visualisation tools are repeatable, well-documented, and accessible to other team members.
• Support the management of machine learning training infrastructure on Azure by launching training jobs, managing checkpoints, debugging compute issues, and improving the reproducibility of training runs.
• Respond promptly to ad hoc analytical requests by pulling data via SQL, investigating model behaviour on specific segments, and producing quick analyses or annotated tables for consulting teams.
• Ensure all changes are thoroughly tested and deployed without disrupting existing functionality or workflows within the production environment.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including consulting professionals to translate business questions into actionable insights using advanced analytics.
• Document work clearly and communicate findings or blockers effectively in writing to both technical colleagues and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with transfer learning methods for vision use of experiment tracking understanding of CI/CD best comfort reading academic and ideally some exposure to domains where model interpretability is crucial.

• 35 years of experience in applied machine learning or machine learning engineering with hands-on exposure to computer vision or multimodal models in production environments.
• Demonstrated software engineering fundamentals including clean modular code design in Python suitable for production-grade applications rather than just experience working within established codebases and shipping code through pull requests.
• Fluency in the Python machine learning ecosystem (such as pandas/polars, PyArrow, scikit-learn, numpy) combined with strong SQL skills for efficient data manipulation and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworkspreferably PyTorchfor building scalable models tailored to business needs.
• Comfortable conducting ad hoc data analysis: able to write complex SQL queries, extract relevant datasets, clean data efficiently, and provide rapid quantitative answers to business questions.
• Experience working with Azure ML or equivalent cloud-based machine learning platforms involving job orchestration, compute management, and model registry maintenance.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) as well as LLM-driven workflows integrated into daily engineering practice.
• Strong written communication skills enabling clear documentation of work processes along with effective reporting of findings or blockers to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred: Experience with transfer learning or fine-tuning vision encoders (such as CLIP or SigLIP) within multimodal pipelines for enhanced model performance.
• Preferred: Familiarity with experiment tracking frameworks like PyTorch Lightning or O experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), containerised deployments (Docker), Databricks or Azure Blob S ability to read ML research papers background in consumer research or behavioural science where interpretability is key.
