We're seeking a skilled financial professional to join our team as a Quality of Earnings / Transaction Advisory Specialist.

This unique role is ideal for someone with solid experience in accounting management, QuickBooks, and M&A advisory work who is also comfortable acting as a thought partner throughout the business day.

You will work closely with our team, being on Zoom and available to work Monday-Friday (9AM - 6PM EST, with one hour lunch/dinner whenever you'd like) during calls and meetings, providing ongoing support and stepping in to handle various accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Real-Time Support: Be available on Zoom throughout the workday to assist with accounting and advisory tasks, jumping in between calls and meetings.
  • Accounting and QuickBooks Management: Handle routine accounting duties, manage QuickBooks entries, and assist with financial record-keeping.
  • M&A and Transaction Advisory: Support M&A advisory work, including due diligence, document organization, and data analysis.
  • Administrative and Executive Assistance: Act as an executive assistant by helping manage schedules, reminders, and general administrative tasks.
  • Learning and Adaptation: Gradually learn the business segments and become a proactive thought partner in the workflow.

In this role, you'll lead buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence for corporate clients, private equity groups, and commercial lenders.

You'll analyze, report, and advise on earnings quality, working capital, and overall business performance during high-stakes transactions.

Key Previous Experience Needed:

  • Conduct financial due diligence for both buy-side and sell-side engagements.
  • Analyze quality of earnings adjustments and net working capital impacts.
  • Draft and present reports summarizing findings, business performance, and transaction-related issues.
  • Manage multiple engagements for private equity clients and companies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the transaction process, ensuring timely and clear communication.
  • Perform comprehensive financial analysis, including cash flows, asset valuation, earnings quality, and working capital assessments.
  • Prepare detailed reports highlighting key findings, insights, and potential risks.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Must have a professional accounting qualification.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Audit background (though TAS/M&A background is of course the ideal!)
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (must-have).
  • Tech-savvy—comfortable using Claude in Excel/Claude Code/Claude Projects/ChatGPT or similar AI tools for research, email writing, etc.
  • Experienced professional with at least 5–7 years in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Bonus points for ex-investment bankers or those with strong deal experience.
