We are seeking a
senior, licensed architect to join our team as a dedicated production and design resource, with a primary focus on
luxury retail projects, including high-end flagship stores and multi-story retail environments for global brands. The ideal candidate combines strong architectural design and technical documentation skills with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven projects.
This role will collaborate closely with design architects, project teams, consultants, and other stakeholders while also contributing to projects across a diverse portfolio as needed. The successful candidate will bring strong production expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to mentor junior and intermediate team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support architectural production for luxury retail and high-end commercial projects, including multi-story flagship stores for global brands
- Develop and maintain comprehensive construction document sets, including plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and technical drawings
- Produce detailed architectural documentation such as door schedules, stairwell details, wall sections, millwork details, and other construction details
- Translate design concepts and schematic drawings into accurate, buildable technical documentation
- Manage architectural projects from schematic design through construction documentation and construction completion
- Collaborate with design architects, on-site project teams, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders
- Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, and other consultant disciplines
- Work effectively within fast-track project environments, supporting projects with timelines from design through construction completion in under 12 months
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, coordination, and compliance with applicable building codes and project standards
- Help establish and maintain consistent production workflows and documentation standards
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and intermediate architectural staff
- Adapt to different project types and contribute to the firm's broader portfolio as project needs evolve
- Participate in project coordination meetings and communicate technical information clearly with US-based teams
Qualifications
- Licensed Architect
- 8+ years of professional architectural experience
- Proven experience working on luxury retail projects, such as flagship stores, high-end brand fit-outs, and multi-story retail developments
- Strong experience in architectural production and construction documentation
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience managing projects from schematic design through construction documents
- Familiarity with US building codes and architectural standards
- Experience working with US-based architectural firms or clients
- California building code experience is a strong advantage
- Strong understanding of architectural detailing, construction methods, and technical coordination
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed project teams
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work US Pacific/West Coast business hours
