What is this role about
The LPG Terminal Operations Supervisor oversees and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the terminal—including inventory control, tank farm management, truck loading operations, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The role ensures accurate product accounting, operational efficiency, proper staff supervision, and continuous readiness of terminal assets. The supervisor acts as the operational bridge between terminal activities, supply/logistics teams, and management.
What will YOU do
- Supervise day-to-day LPG terminal operations including vessel unloading support, bulk storage handling, truck loading activities, and dispatch flow to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations
- Manage terminal inventory accuracy by overseeing tank gauging, stock reconciliation, and variance analysis, ensuring alignment between physical and system records
- Implement and enforce operational controls for tank farms, loading racks, and inventory movements to maintain product integrity and minimize operational losses
- Monitor compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and environmental standards, ensuring all technicians and contractors follow proper LPG handling procedures
- Lead and coordinate the work of terminal technicians, including task assignment, skill development, performance monitoring, and adherence to SOPs
- Identify operational risks and implement preventive measures, including ensuring proper documentation, internal controls, and escalation for any abnormal operations or variances
- Validate and ensure and ensure the completion of all operational documentation, including Bill of Lading, delivery receipts, tank inventory reports, and regulatory logs
- Coordinate with Supply, Logistics, Dispatching, Engineering, Security, and Head Office to ensure inventory availability, operational readiness, and timely product movements
- Oversee preventive maintenance schedules for loading arms, pumps, compressors, tank instrumentation, and terminal equipment to avoid downtime and ensure reliability
- Initiate process improvements and cost-controls, reviewing operational gaps and implementing measures that enhance terminal productivity, safety, and efficiency
What will YOU need
- 8 - 10 years of relevant employment experience
- Additional certifications/licenses such as a valid driver's license (Restriction Codes B2, C, CE), certified electrician, forklift operator (NC II), or similar industry-recognized credentials are an advantage
