Job Description

Job Purpose:


The construction logistics manager is responsible for all aspects of the logistics supply chain, stores management, development and optimization of site logistics solutions to meet the needs of the project. The logistics manager will be required to manage the movement of people, goods and equipment at the construction site and control site facilities management.

Job Stakeholders :

The project planner; the commercial managers procuring the works and the senior construction manager on the site. The construction logistics manager should ensure that the construction team is fully aware of logistics activities in support of the building program.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage end-to-end logistics projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, and completion within specified timelines and budgets
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather project requirements and develop comprehensive project plans
  • Utilize Aconex, Primavera, and AutoCAD to facilitate project scheduling, documentation, and design when necessary
  • Oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to optimize efficiency and minimize costs
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success
  • Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders, addressing any issues or concerns
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, motivating team members to achieve project goals
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and industry standards
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics processes and outcomes
  • Monitor and report on project performance metrics, making data-driven recommendations for improvement
  • will be reporting to the central logistics director and will work in integration with the site delivery team construction director of the project.
  • The construction logistics manager should ensure that the construction team is fully aware of logistics activities in support of the building program.

Qualifications:


  • Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of demonstrated success in logistics and project management within the construction industry or related field.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.


Skills:

  • Proficiency in Aconex, Primavera, and AutoCAD is preferred .
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
