The logistics specialist supports daily supply chain operations by coordinating shipment activities, maintaining accurate logistics documentation, monitoring shipment tracking systems, and communicating with internal teams and external customers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipment activities, monitor dispatch schedules, update shipment statuses, and ensure delivery timelines are followed.
- Prepare and verify logistics documentation such as invoices, packing lists, shipping instructions, and shipment records.
- Utilize logistics platforms, CRM systems, or transportation management systems (TMS) to monitor shipment movement and accurately log updates.
- Communicate shipment information and resolve delivery-related concerns with internal teams and external customers.
- Follow logistics procedures, ensure compliance, and support process improvement by identifying inefficiencies.
- Support data accuracy, reporting tasks, and documentation compliance for shipment-related activities.
Qualifications
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred).
Skills & Experience
- 13 years of experience in logistics, supply chain operations, freight forwarding, or transportation coordination (BPO/shared services environment preferred).
- Experience using logistics systems, CRM platforms, or TMS for shipment tracking and operational updates.
- Knowledge of shipment coordination, order fulfillment, and delivery tracking processes.
- Ability to prepare, check, and maintain logistics documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problemsolving ability in a fastpaced operations environment.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams, vendors, carriers, and customers.
Preferred Certifications (Not required)
- Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
