Position Overview
As a Logistics Manager, you will lead a team to oversee regional logistics operations. Your primary responsibility will be managing the transportation of finished garments and textile products manufactured in Asia, ensuring efficient shipment to North America and other international markets. You will monitor and improve the performance of forwarders, service providers, and vendors in the region, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals, train and develop logistics professionals to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Take the lead to guide and assist vendors/suppliers to fulfil clients requirements in order to ensure smooth and timely shipment to global markets in US, Europe, Mexico, Asia and Middle East etc.
- Monitor closely to ensure customs compliance is in place, such as IPR registration, FTZ and FTA requirements
- Provide advice and support on various supply chain functions such as First Sale implementation audits, development of a cloud-based vendor portal, and LDP and DDP operations
- Ensure compliance with regional and international shipping and exports/ imports regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless logistics operations
- Utilize MS D365 and other collaboration tools to manage logistics operations effectively
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor Degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or relevant disciplines
- At least 10 years work experience in textile and wearing apparels for U.S., Canada, Australia and other key markets
- Experience and knowledge in freight forwarding, shipping documents, importing country customs compliance requirement
- Knowledge in payment methods e.g. Wire Transfer, Tradecard and Letter of Credit etc
- Experience in multiple models transactions e.g. FOB and LDP/DDP
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with high team work spirits
- Good Command of both written and spoken English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, ERP and cloud base applications
