Localization Automation and Support Specialist (remote/fixed-term contract)

Mother Tongue is a language services agency, with teams in the UK, USA and South East Asia. We deliver multilingual content solutions under the umbrella of Creative Language Intelligence, spanning localization, transcreation, content origination, data curation and cultural insight. We are part of Omnicom, the world's largest marketing services group. We are currently hiring Automation and Localization Support Specialists to work remotely in the Philippines.

Job description

The purpose of the role is to build and maintain internal and client-facing automations that streamline business processes and remove manual steps and bottlenecks.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building strong relationships with colleagues across the business to support and identify opportunities for automation.
• Building, testing and maintaining workflows and data pipelines using low-code platforms.
• Integrating internal platforms and client systems.
• Suggesting and implementing improvements to existing automated processes.
• Maintaining linguistic data assets.

Additional responsibilities include providing support and troubleshooting and administering user access within production tools.

The role is part of Platforms & Innovation team within Mother Tongue, under the leadership of the Director of Transformation.

Candidate profile

Necessary

• Fluency in English.
• Great communication skills (by phone/VC and in writing).
• Experience of remote working, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in this setting.
• Strong team ethic and proactive mindset.
• Familiarity with modern business software (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, etc.).
• Knowledge and experience of low-code automation platforms (such as Blackbird, PowerAutomate, Zapier)

Desirable

• Experience of working with localization tools (CAT tools such as XTM, Translation Business Management Systems such as Plunet)
• Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Jira.
• Experience of integrating AI decision-making into workflows.
• An informed perspective on the future direction of the language industry.

Working arrangements

This is a fully remote role covering a shift that overlaps significantly with UK business hours: 1pm - 10pm Philippine Standard Time.
