Job Description

As part of its international expansion, AES is looking for a Local HR Coordinator based in Manila, Philippines.

AES specializes in the maintenance, repair, and operational support of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for airlines and airport operators. Our mission is to deliver reliable, safe and high-quality maintenance services that ensure operational continuity for our customers across airports worldwide.

Following the launch of a major long-term contract in the Philippines, we are creating a new HR position to support the rapid growth of our local operations.

Reporting operationally to the Operations Manager – Philippines and functionally to the Regional HR Director, you will be the local HR point of contact, supporting both employees and management across the full employee lifecycle. You will play a key role in attracting talent, ensuring compliant HR administration, coordinating payroll activities with our external provider, and contributing to the development of a positive employee experience.

This position offers the opportunity to build and structure local HR practices within a growing international organization while working closely with operational teams and regional HR leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage the full recruitment process for local positions, from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and define recruitment strategies.
  • Draft and publish job advertisements across relevant recruitment platforms.
  • Screen applications, conduct initial interviews and coordinate recruitment processes with operational managers.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Develop relationships with local recruitment agencies, universities and employment partners.
  • Support the successful integration of new employees through effective onboarding.

HR Administration

  • Prepare employment contracts and HR documentation in compliance with Philippine labour legislation.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • Monitor probation periods, contract renewals and mandatory documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal HR policies and local statutory requirements.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related matters.
  • Support employee relations while promoting a positive working environment.

Payroll & Benefits Coordination

  • Collect, verify and consolidate payroll information, including attendance, overtime, leave and employee changes.
  • Act as the primary liaison with the external payroll provider.
  • Review payroll data to ensure accuracy prior to salary processing.
  • Coordinate employee benefits administration and enrolment.
  • Support compliance with statutory contributions and local reporting obligations.
  • Respond to employee enquiries relating to payroll and benefits.

HR Business Support

  • Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to local management.
  • Assist with workforce planning activities supporting business growth.
  • Prepare HR reports and monitor key HR indicators.
  • Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of HR processes and tools.
  • Support employee engagement, retention and development initiatives.
  • Promote a collaborative, inclusive and high-performance workplace culture.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or HR Coordinator position.
  • Proven experience in recruitment and HR administration.
  • Experience coordinating payroll with an external provider is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience within an international, fast-growing or multicultural environment would be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of Philippine labour legislation and HR best practices.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related discipline.

Languages

  • Fluent English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • Native or fluent Filipino/Tagalog.
