Responsible for vetting ingress and egress via the Loading Dock, controlling traffic flow in the area, maintaining Back of House (BOH) entry protocols, securing the area scope of Loading Dock, and providing a high level of support and service to all staff, visitors and customers.
Ensure the general Security and Safety of the Loading Dock area, by vetting of ingress and egress, directing traffic both people and vehicles, and implementation of Gate Pass system. Ensure a safe and secure environment for staff and customers by actively vetting persons entering or leaving site via Loading Dock.
Utilization of Visitor Management System for deliveries, contractors, vendors, and visitors that will access back of house (BOH).
Documentation of all access to the Loading Dock, and ensure relationship building with the relevant stakeholders.
Maintain concise and accurate reporting and input of data in Loading Dock System as directed by the Security Loading Dock Associate.
Maintain an effective relationship with team members and customers within the work environment by presenting a professional image and dealing with incidents in a discreet and confidential manner appropriate to the situation.
Effectively manage and maintain own quality of work performance & conduct, completing all tasks as directed.
Contribute to the effective functioning of the Loading Dock Team and the Department.
Use cultural awareness and understanding whilst maintaining effective standards of written and verbal communication with staff and customers in the workplace.
Operate basic security equipment including Tetra radio.
Effectively participate in the management of potential safety hazards including fire alarms, emergency situations, and bomb threats and building evacuation.
Take appropriate action to prevent loss or illegal access to property and respond to all emergencies and alarms as requested and directed.
Maintain and apply skills to deal with conflict situations that occur within the work environment in an appropriate manner and as per Company policies.
Perform other duties as directed by the Security Loading Dock Supervisor.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications with a focus on Occupational Health and Safety and/or Security related operations Response Training and / or Basic First Aid Training.
Can operate Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience in Customer Service or Security Officer duties.
Basic understanding of essential hospitality standards and company policies.
Tertiary Level preferred.
Willingness to work flexibly on a rotational shift including night duty, weekends and Holidays.
