Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Litigation Support Attorney to support a specialized U.S. Law Firm focused on Brand Protection Litigation.

The firm files lawsuits in the U.S. primarily against overseas e-commerce sellers violating U.S. Intellectual Property rights. This is a high-volume, fast-paced practice involving ex parte proceedings, expedited discovery, and asset freeze orders. You will work directly with the Managing Partner and the Senior Associate, serving as their right hand in drafting, research, and case management.

Strict Legal & Compliance Notice (Please read carefully before applying):

  • Non-Solicitation & Non-Poaching: You will be handling sensitive client data and high-value litigation details. Poaching of clients or soliciting business from the firm's network is strictly prohibited.
  • Exclusivity: This is an exclusive contract. You strictly cannot hold other jobs, side cases, or consultancy roles while employed with us.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

1. Legal Drafting & Pleading Preparation

  • Draft and review complaints, motions, and pleadings based on established firm templates (high volume).
  • Prepare Notices of Voluntary Dismissal (NOVDs) and Certificates of Service (COS).
  • Compile Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities for larger briefs.

2. Case Management & E-Filing

  • Prepare service emails (complaints/summons) for defendants using dedicated templates.
  • Manage Status Reports by tracking dockets, pending motions, and defendant status across spreadsheets.
  • Assist with federal court e-filings via PACER (training provided).

3. Legal Research & Evidence Review

  • Asset Tracing: Conduct research to identify defendant assets across platforms (e.g., linking an Amazon store to a Walmart store) for judgment execution.
  • Evidence Compilation: Review and compile screenshots of infringing e-commerce stores to support declarations.
  • Judicial Research: Research specific judges recent awards or views on specific IP topics using Westlaw.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Must be a Philippine Bar License Holder (Active).
  • Must be willing to work ON-SITE. This is NOT a work-from-home role.
  • Must have a strong background in Civil Litigation, Arbitration, or Debt Collection/Foreclosure is preferred. Experience in Intellectual Property (IP) or Patent law is a massive advantage.
  • Proficient in Westlaw (docket track/research), OneDrive, and Google Drive.
  • Able to handle repetitive drafting tasks with zero errors.

Work Schedule (Crucial)

To ensure overlap with both the Managing Partner (Europe) and the Associate (New York), the required shift is:

  • This schedule provides a 4-hour overlap with the Partner and a 4-hour overlap with the Associate.
