Job Description

Job Summary

  • The Liquidity Trader is responsible for managing the Bank's daily liquidity and funding requirements consistent with relevant policies and regulations, including compliance with reserve requirements and/or other applicable regulatory and internal ratios.

  • The Liquidity Trader monitors and manages cash flow position, perform liquidity projections and ensures all funding requirements are met.

  • The Liquidity Trader shall also participate in the Interbank Call Loan market and other money market activities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure sufficient liquidity to meet all obligations and funding requirements.
  • Monitor daily liquidity metrics, including Nostro, BSP, and related accounts, to comply with regulations.
  • Compute and analyze cash flow positions to recommend action plans and forecast funding needs.
  • Track and allocate funding for Treasury, Branch Banking, Finance, and other units.
  • Execute transactions in IBCL, BSP facilities, and Repos market activities, with relevant counterparties, ensuring compliance with risk limits.
  • Monitor funding costs, deposits, and borrowings, maintaining favorable spreads.
  • Monitor and analyze interest rate movements across term, repo, and interbank markets to aid in managing liquidity and interest rate risks.
  • Responsible for daily encoding of deposit, loan, FX, and market rates in the Rates Update Module (RUM), coordinating with IT for system support.
  • Prepare liquidity reports and ensure data accuracy for management and the Asset and Liability Committee.
  • Enforce compliance with counterparty, transaction, and risk limits approved by the Board.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in any business-related course
  • Treasury experience is an advantage; those without prior experience must complete the Strategic Treasury Excellence Program (STEP)
  • Familiarity with liquidity, reserves and cash flow management is preferred
  • Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Licensed Fixed Income Market Salesman, or willing to secure the license within a prescribed period
  • Certified Treasury Professional (ATENEO-BAP) or willing to obtain the designation within a prescribed period
