Job Description

The IT Systems Administrator - Linux role served to support enterprise and Business operations. That include maintaining and managing System infrastructure uptime and availability. Also, to ensure that all IT services are effectively deliver.

About The Job

What you will do:

  • Responsible for effective provisioning, OS Patches/updates, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
  • Administers and maintains a Unix/Linux-based server network, with a combination of physical and virtual servers.
  • Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.
  • Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains server-based applications running on the network including Unix/Linux Services ADLDAP.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Assist to create, configure, and deploy all virtual machines and install and provide backup to all configuration procedures.
  • Providing overall direction for Linux system performance and enhancements.

What You Need To Have

  • Minimum three (3) years experience in a Linux System Administrator role.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware in a networked environment.
  • Solid Linux Operating Systems support experience.
  • Solid Linux Workstation and Server management experience.
  • Solid understanding of remediating security vulnerabilities; experience hardening Red Hat, Oracle Linux, or other Opensource Systems
  • Solid Scripting experience (batch, PowerShell, VB)
