Job Description

Job Summary

The Linux Architect will lead the design, implementation, automation, and optimization of enterprise Linux infrastructure across Asia, with a strong focus on Red Hat technologies. This role serves as the technical authority for Linux platforms, providing architecture guidance, resolving complex issues, and driving infrastructure modernization across 100+ servers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect enterprise Linux infrastructure solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on Linux platform strategy and best practices.
  • Manage Linux security, compliance, and integrations (Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos, SSO).
  • Drive infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, scripting).
  • Develop lifecycle management, patching, monitoring, and deployment strategies.
  • Lead major incident resolution and act as the highest escalation point for Linux issues.
  • Improve platform stability, performance, and operational efficiency through automation and ITIL practices.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, Security, Cloud, and vendor teams.
  • Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and performance reporting.

Required Skills & Experience

  • RHCE certification (mandatory) with strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux expertise.
  • Extensive Linux administration across RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu/Debian.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux automation (Ansible, Terraform, Shell/Python/Perl).
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux deployment (Kickstart), RPM/DPKG packaging, and KVM/QEMU virtualization.
  • Expertise in monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus, or Icinga.
  • Experience with HPE enterprise servers and VMware.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, SAML, networking (TCP/IP), and Linux security.
  • Strong troubleshooting, architecture, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with FreeBSD, Docker, DevOps, Puppet/Chef, Splunk, embedded Linux, and Linux kernel internals.
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture, configuration management, and enterprise software packaging.
