The Lifeguard monitors and enforces pool rules and safety regulations to maintain a safe and orderly environment. The role includes educating guests on proper pool etiquette and safety practices while addressing rule violations in a courteous and professional manner.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the overall administration of the fitness center and pool operations, including developing job descriptions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), departmental policies, staff schedules, and team management.
Ensure exceptional guest and member satisfaction by maintaining facility cleanliness, safety, service quality, and positive interdepartmental relationships.
Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of fitness center staff, ensuring compliance with hotel standards, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
Drive business growth by promoting and selling fitness programs, personal training services, memberships, and wellness packages, while supporting marketing and public relations initiatives.
Manage the daily operations of the fitness center and swimming pool, ensuring efficient communication, high-quality service delivery, and operational excellence across all departments.
Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to enhance service offerings, pricing strategies, promotional initiatives, and overall club performance.
Uphold health, safety, and emergency preparedness standards by participating in required training, meetings, and other duties assigned by management.
JOB QUALIFICATION
High school diploma or equivalent required; a certificate or diploma in Recreation, Physical Education, Hospitality, or a related field is an advantage.
A valid Lifeguard License issued by a recognized organization is required.
Current certification in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is required.
Previous experience as a lifeguard in a hotel, resort, water park, sports club, or similar recreational facility is preferred.
