Licensed Physician | Pharmacovigilance Specialist | Argus/Veeva

About the role

Medical Abstractor at SME level working from home. The role involves ensuring the scientific, clinical, and regulatory accuracy of medical and safety-related content across pharmacovigilance and healthcare activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct medical review and validation of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs), adverse event reports, and safety data within Argus and Veeva Safety platforms.
• Provide clinical expertise and scientific assessment to support pharmacovigilance activities, safety evaluations, and risk management initiatives.
• Review medical narratives, interpret clinical data, and identify potential safety signals to ensure accurate and compliant safety reporting.
• Partner with global Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Quality teams to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for complex cases and contribute to continuous process improvement and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD)

Minimum 2 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance Medical Review and ICSR evaluation

Hands-on experience with Argus Safety and/or Veeva Safety

Strong knowledge of drug safety, adverse event reporting, and global pharmacovigilance regulations

Excellent English communication and medical writing skills

Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fully remote work environment
