Role Description
We are seeking a Licensed Food Technologist for a part-time, on-site role located in Cebu. The role involves conducting sensory evaluations, overseeing food technology processes, ensuring quality control, and contributing to research and development initiatives. Additional responsibilities include maintaining precise laboratory protocols, compiling detailed reports, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products and processes comply with the Philippine Food Technology Act (RA 11052) and FDA regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Lead the evaluation of microbiological, chemical, and sensory properties of food products.
- Product Development: Assist in the research and development (R&D) of new trading items, ensuring stability and nutritional integrity.
- Certification: Sign and certify technical documents, lab results, and Certificates of Analysis (COA) as required by law.
- Supplier Audit: Conduct technical assessments of food suppliers and ingredients to maintain quality benchmarks.
Qualifications
- Education: Any of the following fields with PRC License (Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or other food related science field such as Food & Nutrition, Chemistry, Chemical/Sanitary Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, Fisheries, Agriculture, or Certification for Food Microbiology and other food related courses).
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in food manufacturing, QA, or R&D is preferred but fresh board passers are welcome to apply.
- Credentials: Valid PRC ID, Board Certificate, Seminar/Training Certificates for Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, and other Food Safety Related Regulations given by DOH-FDA or FDA recognized Institutions or Academe.
- Location: Willing to work in or travel to Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.
