Role: L3 Systems Infrastructure Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Level 3 MSP Engineer to serve as the top escalation point and technical lead for complex client environments. This role is responsible for deep-dive troubleshooting, project delivery, infrastructure upgrades, and advanced cloud/on-prem hybrid management.

You will also play a key role in mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with the Service Delivery Manager on continuous improvement and standardization initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong technical expert with proven experience in MSP environments and end-to-end project delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead advanced troubleshooting and perform root cause analysis for major incidents
• Plan and deploy infrastructure projects, including cloud migrations, server upgrades, and network redesigns
• Administer and optimize hybrid environments across Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, and on-prem Active Directory
• Configure and maintain FortiGate and Meraki firewalls, including VLANs and VPNs
• Manage and regularly test backup, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity systems (e.g., Veeam, Datto)
• Review and enhance client infrastructure to improve security, performance, and scalability
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and contribute to process improvement and environment standardization
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 engineers

Key Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in MSP or IT Systems Engineering
• Deep expertise in:
• Microsoft 365
• Windows Server
• Azure
• Endpoint Manager / Intune
• Strong networking knowledge, including routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls
• Advanced hands-on experience with FortiGate, Meraki, and cloud networking
• Experience with backup, replication, and disaster recovery technologies
• Proven ability to deliver end-to-end client infrastructure projects
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Certifications:

• AZ-104 (Microsoft Azure Administrator)
• AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect)
• NSE4+ (Fortinet)
• CCNP or equivalent
