Job Summary
The Legal Specialist will play a dynamic, field-focused role in supporting the company's legal and compliance requirements. This position is designed for professionals who thrive outside the office—engaging directly with government agencies, partner companies, contractors, and local communities. The role ensures smooth legal processes for EV charger deployment, real estate transactions, and construction partnerships, while building strong relationships and ensuring compliance with Philippine laws.
The assignment begins with six months in Manila for training and integration, followed by permanent deployment in Davao to support regional operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as the company's legal representative in the field, coordinating with government agencies (DOE, DENR, HLURB, DPWH, LGUs) to secure permits, certifications, and approvals.
- Provide on-site legal support for EV charger installations, property acquisitions, and construction projects, ensuring compliance with energy, environmental, and building regulations.
- Review and draft contracts (supplier agreements, site leases, construction service agreements) with a focus on minimizing risks and supporting operational efficiency.
- Assist in preparing pleadings, position papers, and legal opinions for labor disputes and regulatory matters, including representation support before SENA and NLRC.
- Monitor compliance with internal policies and Philippine legal provisions during field operations.
- Coordinate directly with contractors, partner companies, and local government units to resolve legal and regulatory issues quickly and effectively.
- Support stakeholder engagement by building positive relationships with external regulators and internal teams.
- Collaborate with the Vietnam Legal Team when needed for cross-border compliance and joint ventures.
Job Qualifications
- Graduate of Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree; bar membership preferred but not required for paralegal-level applicants.
- 3–5 years of experience in legal practice, corporate law, compliance, or regulatory work.
- Strong interest in fieldwork—comfortable working outside the office, engaging with stakeholders, and handling on-site legal matters.
- Familiarity with government permitting processes (DENR, DOE, HLURB, DPWH, LGUs) and regulatory compliance for energy, real estate, and construction projects.
- Experience in contract review, drafting, and basic dispute resolution.
- Exposure to labor dispute handling and preparation of pleadings/position papers is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for field coordination.
- Willingness to be assigned in Manila for six months before permanent deployment to Davao.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable to fast-paced, field-based environments.
