Legal Specialist (Corporate)

The Legal Coordinator provides administrative and coordination support to the Legal Department in handling permits, contracts, legal documentation, and corporate housekeeping requirements. The role supports Manila‑based legal operations and selected GMA‑related activities, ensuring accurate documentation, timely submissions, and effective coordination with internal partners and external government authorities.

This position is suited for law graduates, near‑completion law students, Legal Management graduates, or early‑career professionals seeking hands‑on exposure to corporate legal operations

As a Legal Coordinator, you will:

  • Prepare, draft, and coordinate legal documents such as contracts, deeds, powers of attorney, affidavits, and other supporting legal documentation.
  • Assist incorporate housekeeping activities, including maintenance and monitoring of legal records, permits, and licenses.
  • Coordinate applications, renewals, and filings withgovernment agencies (e.g., BIR, LGUs, PEZA where applicable), including follow‑ups and document retrieval.
  • Act as apoint of coordination for routine legal inquiries and channel matters to the Legal Manager or Legal Director as appropriate.
  • SupportGMA DSOs (Sales Branches)and related operations, including assistance in permit renewals, warehouse registrations, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and organize legal files, monitor document status, and ensure proper tracking and follow‑through of required actions.
  • Provide general legal and administrative support to the Legal team and assist with projects or tasks assigned by the supervisor to ensure business continuity.

Requirements:

  • College graduate in any of the following:
    • Law (JD graduate or law student nearing completion)
    • Legal Management
    • Other related courses with relevant legal or administrative exposure
  • Open to fresh graduates or early‑career professionals
  • Relevant exposure may include:
    • Legal or administrative work in a law firm
    • Corporate legal department support
    • Regulatory, permits, or documentation‑heavy roles.
  • Prior experience in a law firm or legal support role is anadvantage, but not a strict requirement.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with compliance‑critical documents
  • Proficient inMicrosoft Office applications (Word is non‑negotiable Excel and PowerPoint for tracking and reporting)
  • Ability to work with legal templates and maintain organized filing systems
  • Proficient in English and Filipino, especially for coordination with local authorities and internal partners.
  • Willing to undertake minimal onsite or field work (e.g., government offices, GBS, DSOs).
  • Must be amenable to atemporary/contractual role (6 months).
