POSITION SUMMARY:
The position is responsible for providing legal support in all matters assigned by the AVP - Legal, Chief BG Legal Officer, or TBG Regional COO, as the case may be, to meet the requirements of the TBG and BUs, and to ensure that they are properly advised and protected from significant legal exposure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures review of templated contracts and ensures alignment with business objectives.
- Supports and act as legal point of contact for issues arising from roll-out and execution of energy and non-energy related contracts in a manner beneficial to the TBG, and compliance with their terms and conditions.
- Supports AP Legal in management of, and serve as TBG's legal point-of-contact for, arbitration cases involving the TBG and other high-risk cases or issues under the purview of AP Legal based on AP case categorization guidelines.
- Coordinates with external legal counsels and other relevant firms, advisors or contractors employed to represent the TBG ensuring protection of its interests, in collaboration with AP Legal as appropriate.
- Builds and maintains networks/relationships with relevant government agencies to contribute in the accomplishment of tasks handled for the AP Units
Minimum Qualifications
- At least three (3) years as a licensed legal professional (Bar qualification), preferably with working experience in a field or business that is energy-related or can complement the energy business
- Experience in providing administrative and technical support to executives.
- Must be a Bachelor's Degree holder in Laws (LL.B) or Juris Doctor (J.D.)
- Willing to be assigned in Toril, Davao City.
