Legal Recovery Team Officer - Ilo-ilo

Your Role

The Legal Recovery Team (LRT) Officer is responsible for managing delinquent and non-performing auto loan accounts through collection, recovery, repossession, and litigation activities. The role focuses on maximizing recoveries, reducing non-performing loans (NPLs), and ensuring that appropriate legal and recovery actions are taken to protect the Bank's interests.

Your Impact

• Manage and recover assigned delinquent and non-performing auto loan accounts through collection and negotiation efforts.
• Conduct field visits, borrower tracing, account investigations, and collection activities to secure payments and recover assets.
• Negotiate repayment arrangements, secure Promises-to-Pay (PTPs), and facilitate voluntary surrender of collateral units.
• Coordinate repossession activities, including borrower negotiations, unit inspections, documentation, and warehouse turnover.
• Evaluate accounts and recommend appropriate recovery actions, including litigation, replevin, collection cases, and other legal remedies.
• Work closely with courts, sheriffs, law enforcement agencies, external collection agencies, and other stakeholders in implementing recovery actions.
• Monitor endorsed accounts and maintain accurate records, documentation, and collection activities within the collection system.
• Support the Bank's asset quality objectives by improving recovery rates and minimizing loan losses.

Your Profile

• College graduate.
• Experience in collections, recovery, repossession, legal recovery, account management, or related banking functions is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation, investigation, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable performing fieldwork and interacting with various stakeholders, including borrowers, government agencies, law enforcement units, and legal partners.
• Able to work independently, manage priorities, and make sound decisions in challenging situations.
• Resilient, resourceful, and highly driven to achieve recovery objectives.
