Legal Officer(Documentation)

Your Role

The Legal Officer (Documentation) primary role is to file and represent the Bank in court cases and other legal actions in order to protect the Bank's tights and interest relative to retail lending business specifically in Autoloans, Mortgage, Cards, and Unsecured Lending.

Your Impact

Litigation and Legal Services Functions:

1.Conducts extensive review of auto loan, mortgage, and cards and unsecured accounts endorsed for legal action, which maybe in the form of:

-Foreclosure of chattel mortgage.

-Filing of cases(Collection, replevin, writ of possession, estafa, BP22, etc).

2.Acts as counsel for the bank in cases involving auto loans, mortgage loans, and CUL Loans, and petitions for writ of possession and monitors status of cases.

3.Attends court hearing and meeting with clients, arbiters court personnel, officer of the concerned govt. agencies, etc.

4.Prepares/sends final demand letters and other makes the necessary request with the concerned units/depts. for any lacking/missing loan and/or collateral documents.

5.Prepare legal opinion involving endorsed NPL/ITLs.

6.Conducts research and review of legal/loan documents, contracts, etc.

7.Refers cases to external legal counsel for appropriate handling and monitors the monthly progress thereof;

8.Maintains and ensure proper filing of folders/documents under ITL accounts; and

9.Assists in the preparation and sending of reply letters.

Auction Sale and related functions:

a.) Prepares bid document and compute the recommended price

b.) Attends/participates in the conduct of auction sales.

c.) Process issuance of COS.

Legal services and support on administrative and labor relations matters

1.Provide legal advisory, contract preparation and review.

2.Provide legal services and support concerning all administrative and human resources management matters of the company, including among others, legal advisory and/or opinions, assistance in disciplinary proceedings, special audit investigation, and assistance to fraud risk management in case build up.

Your Profile

• Must have bachelors degree in Law/Juris Doctor
• Must be member of Integrated Bar of the Philippines/ Bar Passer
• Relevant field experience: With at least 1 year in the practice of law specifically in litigation
