Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Lead to support legal operations across governance, contracts, compliance, and records management. Reporting to the Legal Manager, you will play a key role in building and maintaining the legal systems that keep the organization compliant, organized, and operationally efficient.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys creating structure. You'll establish documentation standards, maintain contract and governance records, support legal workflows, and ensure legal information is accurate, accessible, and audit-ready without slowing business execution.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Cancun EST, with 30 minutes paid break (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities
Contracts & Legal Documentation
- Draft, format, and maintain legal documents using approved templates, including service agreements, contractor agreements, NDAs, MOUs, and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate version control for legal documents.
- Organize executed agreements, drafts, redlines, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare concise summaries of contracts for internal stakeholders.
Governance & Corporate Records
- Maintain governance documentation, including bylaws, resolutions, meeting records, membership agreements, and approval documentation.
- Assist in preparing materials for governance meetings and legal reviews.
- Ensure entity records remain organized and easily accessible.
Compliance & Legal Administration
- Maintain recurring legal and compliance calendars.
- Monitor legal administrative tasks and ensure deadlines are met.
- Identify compliance gaps and recommend practical solutions.
- Escalate potential legal or ethical issues when appropriate.
Legal Research & Case Support
- Conduct legal and regulatory research.
- Prepare research summaries with supporting references.
- Organize evidence and documentation for disputes, audits, or legal matters.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive legal information.
Legal Operations & Process Improvement
- Build and maintain legal templates, SOPs, and documentation standards.
- Manage the intake and prioritization of legal requests.
- Improve legal workflows and document management processes.
- Maintain organized records within Notion and other document management systems.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Paralegal, Legal Operations Specialist, or Legal Administrator.
- Excellent written English and document drafting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Experience managing contracts, legal documentation, and records.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Comfortable collaborating with attorneys, executives, and cross-functional teams.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting nonprofit, membership-based, or mission-driven organizations.
- Familiarity with U.S. corporate governance and contract administration.
- Experience supporting international organizations.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Experience developing legal processes and documentation systems.
