In this position, you are responsible for delivering excellence across the following core functional areas:
- Permits & Licenses - Ensures timely processing, monitoring and upkeep of all government permits and compliance records.
- Corporate Housekeeping - Supports the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Legal Department's internal processes and guidelines.
- Record Administration - Manages legal documentation, research, filing systems, and due diligence to ensure organized and compliant records.
- Documentation/Inter-Department Support - Provides administrative and coordination support for document handling, compliance submissions, and cross-functional requirements.
Job Summary
The
Legal Intern is responsible for filing, processing and monitoring of government permits necessary for the operational requirements of the business.
He/She is also responsible to provide support in production, reproduction, filing and monitoring of various applications with internal/external documents, especially government compliance with government and regulatory agencies.
Core Functions
- Permits & Licenses
- Maintains and update compliance registry at all times
- Files, process and monitors government permits
- Corporate Housekeeping
- Assists in maintaining and updating the processes and procedures as well as internal guidelines of the Legal department
- Record Administration
- Prepares correspondences and conduct legal research
- Orderly filing of documents for the company
- Drafts documents based on templates
- Conducts due diligence on potential clients or investors
- Documentation/Inter-Department Support
- Provides support in production, reproduction, filing and monitoring of various applications with internal/external documents, especially compliances with government and regulatory agencies.
- Other assignments that may increase knowledge, under breadth of experience, and build on values of team members.
Required Qualifications
- Ongoing undergraduate degree preferably Legal Management or Political Science
- Critical thinker with good analytical skills; able to ask the right questions to uncover real issues and able to use information effectively to predict outcomes
- Good reasoning ability: able to solve business problems
- With customer service experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective presentation skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Computer literate
