Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Law, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- At least 2 years of recent experience editing legal documents and written legal content in a professional environment
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, concepts, and written legal content
- Proven experience engaging with international clients and stakeholders
- Excellent editing, proofreading, written communication, and content-refinement skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency
Preferred
- 3 or more years of editorial experience specifically within a legal publishing company
- Law degree or previous professional experience as a lawyer
- Experience supporting Australian or American clients
Responsibilities
- Review and refine expert witness reports for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with legal requirements.
- Edit complex legal and technical content while preserving each expert's intended meaning and professional opinion.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal teams to clarify information and strengthen written communication.
- Identify and resolve grammatical, structural, formatting, and content-related issues.
- Support the creation and revision of legal and editorial materials.
- Improve editorial processes, document quality, and content consistency across global cases.
