Responsible to provide expert legal advice to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Draft and review contracts, analyze legal risks, and represent the organization in legal proceedings to protect its interests.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and counsel within area of expertise to the management to ensure that the organization's activities, policies, business practices, and transactions comply with all relevant laws and regulations
- Analyze and interpret case law, court reports, and proposed and existing laws and regulations to prepare technical reports on their impact to the organization
- Prepare legal contracts, letters of agreement, and other documents related to a variety of trade, commercial, financial, and operational matters to protect the organization's legal and business interests
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings before courts, government agencies, and/or other authorities so that the organization's interests are protected
Qualifications
- Member of the Philippine Bar
- Minimum of 35 years of legal practice, preferably in corporate or commercial law.
- Strong understanding of local laws, regulations, and compliance requirements; familiarity with contract law and litigation processes.
