As Legal Counsel, you will immerse yourself in the day-to-day operations of an ambitious e-commerce organization. • Provide timely and practical legal advice to various departments such as Finance, Marketing, Purchasing, and Logistics on a broad spectrum of topics spanning multiple jurisdictions.
• Support customer service teams by managing claims processes and resolving consumer-to-business (C2B) disputes efficiently and empathetically.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure compliance with relevant laws while protecting the organisations interests across different markets.
• Offer legal assistance in areas including corporate law, consumer protection, privacy regulations, and intellectual property matters.
• Conduct thorough research on new legislation affecting the business and communicate key updates to relevant stakeholders in an accessible manner.
• Assist with corporate housekeeping tasks such as maintaining statutory records and ensuring regulatory filings are up to date.
• Collaborate closely with other members of the legal team to share insights, develop best practices, and foster a supportive working atmosphere.
• Act as a trusted advisor by quickly adapting to new legal fields or jurisdictions as the business expands into new markets.
• Contribute to internal training sessions or workshops aimed at raising awareness of legal risks and compliance requirements among non-legal colleagues.

• Proven ability as a legal generalist who can swiftly adapt to unfamiliar areas of law or new jurisdictions as required by business needs.
• Exceptional analytical skills paired with excellent written and verbal communication abilities enable you to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Demonstrated capacity for effective collaboration within diverse teams while maintaining high standards of professionalism.
• Experience conducting legislative research and translating findings into actionable advice for non-legal audiences.
