JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a highly qualified Legal Counsel to oversee the legal aspects of our business. The Legal Counsel will safeguard our reputation by guaranteeing that the company strictly follows law guidelines and give legal advice to management about all relevant issues.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effectively handle civil, criminal, and administrative cases involving the bank and its officers/employees.
- Capable of preparing pleadings for filing and attending hearings on behalf of the bank before various courts or quasi-judicial bodies.
- Effectively coordinate and utilize units concerned regarding cases handled by external lawyers hired by the bank.
- Provide sound legal advice on matters that are referred to Legal Services Group (LSG).
- Capable of preparing correspondence on matters which may become the subject of litigation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a degree in law and be a member of good standing of the Philippine Bar.
- A minimum of two years experience in banking is preferred.
- Excellent writing capabilities for preparing pleadings and correspondence.
- Superior interpersonal and oral communication skills for court appearances.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Willing to travel for work.
