Key Responsibilities
Strategic Contracting: Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex, high-stakes international supplier agreements (e.g., Master Service Agreements, CAPEX, IT/Digital, and Logistics).
Global Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with cross-border sourcing, including trade compliance, data privacy, and jurisdictional nuances.
Supplier Governance: Provide high-level legal counsel on vendor disputes, force majeure claims, contract terminations, and long-term partnership renewals.
Process Leadership: Design and implement global legal playbooks, contract templates, and automated workflows to increase the speed and efficiency of procurement cycles.
Compliance Oversight: Ensure all supplier contracts align with international labor standards, anti-bribery regulations, and evolving ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) requirements.
Stakeholder Management: Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to executive leadership, translating complex legal risks into actionable business strategy.
Required Qualifications
Senior Legal Expertise: Qualified Lawyer/Solicitor with 8 + years of experience
Mandatory International Experience: Demonstrated success in managing legal affairs across multiple countries and legal systems. Experience navigating international commercial frameworks is essential.
Procurement Specialization: In-depth understanding of the end-to-end procurement lifecycle—from RFP and vendor due diligence to final contract execution and exit strategy.
Advanced Negotiation: Proven track record of leading high-stakes negotiations for multi-million-dollar deals with sophisticated global vendors.
Communication: Ability to distill complex legal jargon into clear, commercial advice for business partners across time zones.
Education: Juris Doctor (JD), Bachelor of Laws (LLB), or equivalent qualification.
