What You'll Do
Legal Advisory & Regulatory Compliance
- Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, operational, and regulatory matters across the business.
- Interpret and apply Philippine laws, regulations, and government issuances related to electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, transportation, procurement, energy, and public-private partnerships (PPPs).
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, corporate governance standards, and internal policies.
- Identify legal and regulatory risks and recommend practical business solutions.
Contract Management
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of legal documents, including commercial contracts, partnership Agreements, memoranda of Agreement (MOAs), lease Agreements, non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), procurement Agreements, letters of Intent
- Support business teams in structuring commercial transactions while protecting the company's interests.
- Maintain and improve standard contract templates and legal documentation.
Government Relations & Policy Support
- Support engagements with national government agencies, local government units (LGUs), government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs), and private sector partners.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting mobility, infrastructure, energy, and transportation.
- Prepare legal assessments, policy recommendations, and regulatory updates that support business growth.
Legal Research & Risk Management
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, position papers, and risk assessments.
- Support internal policy development and corporate governance initiatives.
- Recommend mitigation strategies for legal and regulatory risks.
Strategic Business Support
- Provide legal support for strategic projects, new business initiatives, and commercial partnerships.
- Participate in cross-functional discussions and deliver practical, commercially sound legal advice.
External Counsel Management
- Coordinate with external law firms and legal consultants.
- Manage legal service providers to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Build strong working relationships with external legal partners and key stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. or Juris Doctor) graduate.
- Member in good standing of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).
- At least 5 years of relevant legal experience in one or more of the following: Corporate Law, Commercial Law, Regulatory Law, Energy, Infrastructure, Transportation, Government-related legal practice
- Experience in contract drafting, regulatory compliance, and government engagements is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Philippine corporate and commercial laws.
- Knowledge of energy, transportation, procurement, infrastructure, and regulatory frameworks.
- Familiarity with electric vehicle ecosystems, EV charging infrastructure, renewable energy, or public-private partnerships is an advantage.
