Job Description
The Legal and Compliance Assistant provides administrative, documentation, and research support to the Company's Legal team. The role assists with contracts, employee relations cases, regulatory requirements, and legal concerns arising from parking operations, in coordination with HR, Operations, and other departments.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and reviewing drafts of contracts, agreements, letters, affidavits, and other legal documents under the guidance of Legal Counsel.
- Organize and maintain contracts, case files, corporate records, and confidential legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries of relevant laws, regulations, and decisions as requested by Legal Counsel.
- Coordinate with HR on the collection and organization of records for employee relations and labor cases.
- Assist in compiling incident reports, correspondence, and supporting evidence for customer complaints and parking-related disputes.
- Monitor contract expiration dates, case deadlines, filing schedules, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate document submissions and follow-ups with government agencies, external counsel, clients, and other concerned parties, as authorized.
- Assist with corporate permits, licenses, and regulatory filings in coordination with the responsible departments.
- Prepare meeting notes, case updates, and status reports for the Legal team.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle personal information and company records responsibly.
- Perform other related legal support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Management, Political Science, or a related field; law students or law graduates may also apply.
- Previous experience in paralegal work, legal administration, or compliance is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Philippine labor laws, contracts, and corporate documentation is preferred.
- Strong research, writing, and document management skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to monitor multiple deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other office applications.
- Able to coordinate professionally with employees, government offices, and external parties.
- Exercises discretion when handling confidential information.
Scope of Authority
- The position supports Legal Counsel and does not independently provide legal opinions, approve settlements, or act as the Company's lawyer.
