Ledger Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Ledger Specialist to join our Property Management Operations team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the accuracy and compliance of resident ledgers across affordable housing programs. You will collaborate closely with Property Management, Compliance, Accounting, and Operations teams to ensure financial records are accurate, compliant, and up to date.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and maintain resident ledgers to ensure accurate rent charges, subsidy allocations, and payment postings.
• Validate HUD 50059 certifications and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) transactions for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Analyze accounts receivable aging reports and identify ledger discrepancies.
• Investigate and resolve billing, payment, subsidy, and ledger-related issues.
• Process ledger corrections, adjustments, and supporting documentation using Yardi/Realpage and FreshService.
• Support month-end close activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Assist with HUD repayment agreements, voucher processing, and preparation of special claims documentation.

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in property management operations, preferably within Affordable Housing programs, including HUD 50059 and LIHTC (Tax Credit).
• Hands-on experience using Yardi and/or RealPage for resident ledger management, certifications, and affordable housing reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Preferred Background

Candidates with experience in property management, leasing, mortgage processing, or other verification-intensive roles are encouraged to apply.
