Job Description

We're building high-performing visuals for a leading California lemon law firm and its subsidiaries. Think polished explainer videos with dramatic storytelling, emotionally resonant client testimonials, sleek branded sequences, high production value paid ad spots, short films, and creative visual narratives that stand out in a crowded legal marketing space, not quick-cut social filler.

This is for an editor who treats every project like a mini-film. Layering cinematic techniques, precise pacing, evocative color grading, immersive sound design, and sophisticated VFX to elevate the message and drive serious results. We need to make media content that sticks with people.

Details...

Compensation: $9.00/hr USD

Type: Full-time, Remote

Shift: 9:00am - 6:00pm PST

You'll own projects from RAW footage through final cut, partnering closely with our director of marketing and media team to ensure every piece of media is on-brand, legally compliant, and engineered for performance while pushing creative boundaries. All footage is taped by the in-office team.

What you'll do day-to-day...

  • Transform raw footage into cinematic, narrative-driven videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and the full Adobe Suite, focusing on storytelling, emotional arcs, visual rhythm, and high-end polish.
  • Deliver fast, intelligent revisions that incorporate feedback while elevating the creative vision, always balancing artistry with brand standards and conversion optimization.
  • Conceptualize and pitch bold, unique ideas: cinematic treatments, unconventional transitions, atmospheric grading, VFX elements, and visual metaphors that make legal topics compelling and memorable.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align video work with overarching marketing goals, infusing unique creativity to make us stand out.
  • Repurpose and elevate footage across formats with VFX integration, color correction, and audio mixing that feels premium and intentional.

What we're looking for...

  • Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and the Adobe ecosystem.
  • Deep command of cinematic editing principles: advanced pacing and rhythm, narrative structure, shot composition, color theory/grading, audio mixing/design, visual hierarchy, and tension-building.
  • Proven experience crafting clean, professional assets from raw footage; building reusable templates; and creating high-impact hooks that feel elevated.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative, marketing-oriented video work, branded storytelling, branded videos, or anything with real production value (no basic cuts or mobile-app edits).
  • Fluency with branding systems and applying them consistently while injecting unique creative flair.
  • Enthusiastic about leveraging AI tools (Higgsfield) as enhancers that amplify creativity and speed, never shortcuts that compromise quality.
  • Exceptional communicator, reliable, deadline-driven, collaborative, and thrives in a small, high-output creative team where your voice shapes direction.

This role gives you real creative input in a niche where exceptional editing and visual storytelling can make or break a campaign. Join a passionate team obsessed with producing standout media that performs.

If you're a top-tier editor who lives for quality creative and hates mediocre social churn, send your portfolio (include links to showreels, full projects, or breakdowns) and a quick note on your favorite recent edit, what made it special creatively
