Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Lead Engineer- IC role with strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, microservices, system design, Microsoft Azure, DevOps, and React. The role involves designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance applications, with end-to-end technical ownership and no people-management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services using Python, FastAPI, and REST APIs.
- Build scalable, secure, and resilient microservices-based applications.
- Contribute to system design, architecture decisions, and performance optimization.
- Develop and integrate frontend applications using React.
- Deploy and manage cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure and AKS.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and manage Docker/Kubernetes deployments.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and production troubleshooting.
- Integrate LLMs, RAG, and AI-enabled capabilities into applications.
- Ensure code quality, security, automated testing, and engineering best practices.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Python, FastAPI, and REST API development.
- Experience with microservices architecture and system design.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Azure and AKS.
- Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with application monitoring using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with React, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Exposure to AI/LLM integration, RAG, or AI-enabled application development.
- Experience building or maintaining SaaS or enterprise-scale applications.
- Knowledge of relational/NoSQL databases, API security, and automated testing.
Experience & Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven ability to independently design, develop, deploy, and support production applications.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and technical ownership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
