GECO Asia is Hiring: Lead SAP BI Engineer (SAP BO | SAP BW/4HANA)
We're looking for a Lead SAP BI Engineer to join our team and take ownership of our enterprise analytics and reporting platforms. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong SAP BI expertise with a passion for mentoring and driving operational excellence.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of reporting systems used across the business.
What you'll do:
Technical Leadership
- Lead SAP BO and SAP BW/4HANA solutions across the team
- Guide engineers on best practices in reporting, data modeling, and operations
- Support mentoring, knowledge sharing, and design discussions
SAP BusinessObjects (BO)
- Develop and maintain Web Intelligence (WebI) reports
- Design and manage Universes (IDT)
- Troubleshoot performance, refresh, and scheduling issues
- Support BO administration via CMC
SAP BW/4HANA
- Build and maintain data models (ADSO, Composite Providers)
- Develop BW queries and reporting layers
- Troubleshoot data pipelines, extraction, and transformation issues
- Work with BW Modeling Tools (Eclipse)
Data & Analytics
- Design scalable data models (star schema, dimensional modeling)
- Ensure reporting performance, consistency, and usability
Operations & Support
- Lead production support, incident resolution, and root cause analysis
- Monitor data loads, reports, and platform health
- Manage transports and change processes (ChaRM)
Collaboration
- Work closely with Databricks and Azure data teams
- Align SAP data with modern analytics platforms
What we're looking for:
- Strong experience in SAP BusinessObjects (WebI, IDT, CMC)
- Strong experience in SAP BW/4HANA modeling and development
- Solid SQL and data modeling skills (star schema, dimensions)
- Experience supporting enterprise BI production environments
- Exposure to SAP ChaRM / transports
- Proven experience mentoring or leading engineers

- Experience integrating SAP with modern data platforms
